The Design of 1 in 8
Between two blossoming trees hang eight bras varied in size, color, style, and shape symbolic of the many different types of women. As the tube of gloss is tilted, a hot pink target slides back and forth. Reinforcing the statistic that approximately 1 in 8 women are diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
In loving memory of Nancy Pitfield and Sheila Cudney
Carved into the trunks of both trees are the initials 'NP' and 'SC'. These initials pay tribute to two women dear to BALMSHELL who ultimately lost their battle against the disease.
